A Lesson in Color: Black
Ignore the actress on whose body the clothes in question appear, or the movie poster in the back. Neither matters. What does is an instructive demonstration that 'Black is Safe' is not a full proof plan.
Like so:
What do we have here, ladies? A black pant, top, blazer and pumps. So is it a symphony or a cacophony?
Neither, to be completely honest. It is not a disastrous look, but given that each of the items is perfectly good this fails to be a good look overall.
Why, ye ask?
Well, to begin with, the blacks are mismatched. It is not as cardinal of a sin, in my mind, as mismatched whites, but still, when you're talking about as many as three black items, all of a different hue, it looks a little off.
Worse than that, it smacks of lazy. There is not need to wear this much mismatched black, especially in the spring. How easy would it have been to put a different color - any color! - top?
Blaaaah.
